Pouring rain this morning. Much of it froze earlier this morning. The trees are all shiny and glazed with ice.

There is a lot of snow left on the ground (6-8 inches) and it's compacted so it's more water than one would expect. I'm guessing it'll last for 2 more weeks, but slow melting is coming.

Heavy rain this morning with a few claps of thunder. Snow still on the ground in a lot of places even after Friday's rain but I'm sure much of it will be gone later.

I was walking to the bus stop and I saw leaves bursting out of the buds on one tree, little leaves not even an inch long. I saw 3 trees with substantial leaves so far (sounds odd I know). The buds are getting larger, just about every tree has them now.

Thursday might be a test, we're supposed to stay in the 30's that day. Idk if that will effect things though.

Slowly, but surely, spring is coming. Right now we have schizo weather. There will be a day or two spring like days followed by a few "mild" winter days.

I like the schizo expression! Cold here this a.m. 15, high to be 20's so much for high 30's we had yesterday!

More snow on the way tomorrow, Friday the dreaded "frizzle", ahhhhh, you have to love March!

One thing, sun angle is so much better, when we get an inch or two of snow, melts off the sidewalks right away.

LOL

I'm a little upset that we're dropping to the upper teens tonight, this is going to damage/kill the new leaves/buds. Smh we'll probably get leaves later than we normally do as opposed to before we normally do.

I haven't really needed a hat recently, I think it's safe to say it truly is Spring even though Winter gets revenge tonight & tomorrow but I think it's over after that.
