Continental tripe. Summers too hot and humid. Winters too cold. The reason it gets a plus is the fact that they have good sunshine. If both summer and winter are uncomfortable then they're no higher than an E rating.
Strange, how is NYC (with cooler winters and summers) Cfa and not this? Both are continental for me anyway, but I believe Koppen made a mistake here...
B minus/C+. Surprising there are no As. Guess it's too offensive and doesn't satisfy the type required by those who like continental climes. Being near the Plains, I thought DP's would be OK, but nope, little different from D.C. area. Weak winters and horrific summers, but high winter sunshine is a welcome boost.
I give it a B+, it's one of my favourite climate. I love the diversity and the rainfall pattern. Spring and Summer should be a bit warmer and it would be one of the best climate of the world in my opinion.
Cold snowy winters, hot summers with chances of thunderstorms, good precipitation totals and a lot of sunshine, what's not to like ?
If I wanted to be picky, I'd say that the summers lows are a bit too high for me (but I'm thinking without A/C), and I prefer having rain more evenly distributed throughout the year, also I'm not sure about enjoying 25c dewpoints in mid summer, but overall it is an excellent case of a continental climate.
A- for me.
