Default Climate Rating: Sao Paulo, Brazil

Sao Paulo Climate, Temperature, Average Weather History, Rainfall/ Precipitation, Sunshine

Sao Paulo has what could be described as a modified subtropical to tropical climate, fairly close to the coast but 800 metres or 2600 feet above sea level, that takes a lot of the "sting" out of the tropical heat.
I would rate this climate an A-, fairly equable and free from extremes - it has never had a day above 100F or 37.8C.
Sunshine hours are < 2000, about 1950, and only 3.9 per day in October is quite an anomaly. This is it's only bad point.
Rainfall is very high in the summer months as well, a bit more than needed.

A- for me. I like the fact that it's "almost" tropical and has a record low of -2C which is not bad considering.

Temps. not bad, but too much rain and not enough sun. C.

I like the look of Arequipa, Peru, but don't have enough data. Undoubtedly dry and rather sunny as I like it though, and cool night temps. don't bother me.

I'll give it an A, a touch more sun for me but the temp stats look ideal!

C+.

I dislike that the warmest monthly avg low is only 18 C.
Even more, that the warmest average high is only 26 C.
Summers are a C-, but winters are somewhat-warm so I give winter an A-.

Sunshine hours are lowish year-round, knocking it out of B- to C+.

I probably need the "sting" of the tropical heat.

C-

Temperature range is boring, but at least it isn't stifling hot. Low sunshine and high rainfall a plus.

Ditto. I'm quite surprised by the low sunshine totals.

What winters, Sao Paulo does not have any winters. Atleast not what Europeans and North Americans consider to be winter.
