I thought this was an interesting one to compare. Both are inland climates at 35 degrees from the equator. Which would you choose? I'd choose Canberra because of the less severe weather year round plus much less snow in the winter.
This is an interesting comparison. For me there wouldn't be too much in it, but I'd lean towards Canberra.
Oklahoma does have an extra 200 annual sunshine hours, but this would be offset by Canberra's lower rainfall, summers that are not blistering and mild (in the relative sense) winters
Canberra, but only narrowly.
Canberra is perhaps the nearest thing to a continental climate that exists in Oz. It even gets snow, albeit infrequently.
Numerous people I have met from the much-maligned Canberra, claim that it is the best kept secret in the country as far as climates go.
Oklahoma City, whilst winters can be severe, also has pretty good yearly averages.
I would be curious as to how humid the summers are there, as other continental places like Shanghai in China are quite horrible in this regard.
Oklahoma's winters are almost perfect but summers are a little too disgusting for me. If I could combine Canberra summers and Oklahoma winters, that would very close to my ideal climate.
Oklahoma City. Sure, the winters are colder than Canberra, but mild nonetheless. And the spring, summer, and fall are warmer in Oklahoma City. Also, I prefer northern hemisphere climates because my birthday is in July and I like having my birthday during the warmer part of the year. And being in Oklahoma helped Oklahoma City get my vote. I love Oklahoma. Visited and wouldn't mind living there someday.
Canberra, definitely. I don't want to deal with a potential tornado destroying my home. Sure, winters aren't cool enough to get snow regularly, but since Canberra doesn't get nearly as hot in the summertime as OKC, I doubt I would be complaining much.

Surely Oklahoma 'cause it has all possible extrems(low/high temperature, snow, tornadoes). I'm probably a nº1 oklahoma's fan. Not to mention the fact of altitude difference between each other. If Canberra was at sea level, snow wouldn't fall down often.
Canberra - cooler summers are the major draw. In general it seems like a comfortable climate.
