Doesn't it seem like there are a lot of people on this forum that like extremes -- either very hot or very cold (or very variable)? But fewer that would like what many people would think of as a "normal" or moderate climate?
Perhaps this forum seems to attract people with these preferences.

Great point, now that you mention it! I've been posting to weather, maybe 4 yrs., and you are right not much middle ground!
If you go further back and look at the polls, the variety seekers who don't mind the winter weather and want a real fall/spring, and then your heat lovers!!!
When I think of some of the former regulars, it was the same, line drawn in the sand, some of us on one side, some on the other and few in the middle! I still miss some of those folks!

Yea, it seems like that. Makes sense for a forum for people into weather.
I like weather for comfort not weather for weather's sake. Though I like an some cloudy (or more like days that change skies) days and rainstorms but could care less about a big variety in temperatures. Though I do enjoy an occasional hot day, I'd be fine with a place that didn't get very hot.

A, I love it.
That record high is a little too low though.
I live in a climate (NYC) with a lot of variablity so maybe that makes me appreciate the heat more, so idk if I'd get bored of this fantasy climate's perpetual warmth or not. Probably not but I'd love a huge snowstorm once in a while (then again that's what the mountains are for).

Thanks for the A! I think this is the 4th grade I got in the A category I got so far. It seems like I got 4 A's, 5 B's, 3 C's, Two D's, and two F's so 9 good grades vs. 7 bad grades.
I also live in NYC!(I also live in Seattle too)!
I agree the NYC metro has A LOT of variability in its climate. I used to actually like cold winter weather but after a long winter in NYC that felt much longer than usual from November-to Mid April and only 30 days of summer like weather last year when I was in Seattle(I wasnt here during NYC's 150 days of summer like weather) my weather preferences has changed and now I just want mostly warm/hot weather most of the time. I still like lots of variability in precipitation and sunshine/clouds.
My dream climate actually doesnt technically have perpetual warmth even though it still has like 8-10 months of summer. There is still 2-3 months of mild fall like weather with temperatures would be in the mid to low 60, mid to low 50s, and even the upper 40s. So because of this, and the variability in precipitation and sunshine/clouds I don't understand how some people say my dream climate "is boring and has no variation" when it is exciting and has enough variation.
I used to be similar to Ilovemycomputer90 and susancruz with liking lots of extreme temperature variation but my weather preferences has changed drastically in the past few years.

D-. Only the rainy winter saves it. Summer is hell due to heat and high sunshine hours.
