Notice all the same people who like warm weather rate warm weather cities with an "A" and all the cold weather cities an "F". While cold weather fans do the opposite. Polls are a waste of time

I rather think this thread is a waste of time (and hence my comment unfortunately... but I like wasting time )

I tend to give mediocre grades to both hot and cold climates. I like balanced climates.

There are plenty of rating with Bs and Cs here. And people rate for sunshine and precipitation reasonas. Some of the climates are dominated by As and Fs because people put extreme climates up.

I've never knew that. I thought "A" were meaning great and "F" was worse.

By the way, why do you use in "F" instead of "E"? Why do you jump out that letter?

Nah, it's not any more of a waste of time than browsing forums in general are. If the results were actually that polarized, those RtC threads would've stopped after the 5th-10th or so iteration. I've gotten to know other regulars' climate preferences quite well by the ratings they make.

I think though that a fairly diverse range of climates have been rated here, including many interesting ones chosen from all over -- tropical, subtropical, maritime, Mediterranean, continental, polar.

The idea, I think, is to see and understand the nuances of each unique climate (amount, frequency and distribution of precipitation, sunshine and temperatures, and occasionally other factors such as wind) on this third rock from the sun, and consider how it fits with your personal preferences.

The posters here all seem quite knowledgeable about weather/climate and I've learned quite a lot from the stats posted for cities and places that are new to me, or I wasn't very aware about before. It makes me think about my own experiences with the climates (although very few) I've encountered and how much out there I haven't.

Because in English, Fail begins with "F", so we use "F" instead of "E"
