Just a curiosity, the mountains 100km west of Rio got -13.2C this last friday, this place is known by it very low temperature in winter,so if you are in Rio,you only need drive 100km to go from a tropical beach to an cold mountain weather.
If I could keep my summers and knock 60 F off of winter and 30 F off of the shoulder seasons, I'd be golden. That's not asking for too much right?
Of course not
If I could have Valparaiso's winter and spring, and NYC's summer and fall, I'd be platinum can we do that? Maybe there is some kind of machine that can fuse climates together

You also have Ubatuba not too far away where it's always raining. And then four hours away is Sao Paulo which is much milder, and four hours going north is the slightly milder Belo Horizonte. A lot of diversity there

I obviously had very different climate preferences back then.
