Rate the Climate: A subtropical climate example
This is my favourite climate. Mild winters, warm summers, plenty of rain but mostly in winter and decently dry in summer. No snow or real cold in winter. Thunderstorms can happen around the year, but most often in spring and autumn.

I rate it an A-.
This is pretty similar to my dream climate, except Januaries are colder in my dream climate. However November, December, February, March have the same exact temperatures as this dream climate you put up and other months roughly the same temperatures. The middle of the summer in my dream climate is much drier than other parts of the year.
How would you rate the new and different version of my dream weather climate?
My dream climate still falls into a subtropical wet and dry and temperate climate category.
I assume if you rate this an A+ you would my dream climate somewhere in the A- to B- range.
But you say you don't like real cold and snow. My dream climate has only 20 days to 1 month of winter in January so I assume that would not be that big of deal for you since it is such a short winter.

D - too warm during the summer and fall. Rainfall and thunderstorms are good. A little too sunny for my tastes, but it could be much worse. Winters are way too mild, but at least cool enough to keep it from getting an F.

D from me, too! No surprise there, I suppose! Not enough variation for me, I need those temp swings (even though I do complain about them or so I've been told)!!!

LOL subarctic Houston?
Houston reached close to 100 degrees today with a heat index around 110. It probably had like 60 days this year so far that reached 90 and higher. It routinely gets 90 and higher 100 days a year.
Yup, Houston sure has non existent freezing summers and is always cold.
Even in Houston's coldest months it easily can get into the 70s and 80s then.
I gave Houston an A- just like I did for this weather climate.

Way too wet. Summers are too hot and humid. Winters look wet and gloomy. I'd rather take crisp sunny freezing winter than these. C-

Not as sub-arctic as Melbourne.

Even in Houston's coldest months it can still get into the 70s and 80s!
The average highs and lows in the coldest months are in the mid to upper 60s for highs and upper 40s for lows.
Also the next 10 day forecast in Houston shows EVERY day will have highs in the mid to upper 90s and lows in mid and low 70s.
I can not imagine how you feel about weather climates such as Minneapolis, Calgary, Harbin, Ulan Bator, and Winnipeg! Now those are cities with miserably cold and long winters.
