I've interpolated this climate between Hamburg and Berlin (though more toward the former), as there are no large cities in the area and therefore no good climate data. The location is around the Easternmost area of the Luneburg Heath.

A-

Cooler winters and more precipitation would be ideal, but otherwise a very comfortable climate. Looks decently cloudy.

A- from me. It's basically an optimum version of our climate with more stable summers (though I've never been to Hamburg and it does have a bad reputation re. changeable weather) and winters with a better chance of real winter weather but nothing too extreme. Somewhere further south/east like Regensburg would be in the A category.

Rainfall good, but far too cloudy, and winters too cold. C-/D+.

Most of Germany seems to have a really poor, cold climate.

I reckon you'd like their heatwaves better than ours. When I was there we had about four days creeping up from high 80s highs to mid 90s and then a spectacular thunder/lightning show and torrential rain that went on half the night. Biggest storm I'd ever seen, but by the time I woke up in the morning though any trace of rain had evaporated as though it never happened

D-

Cooler and wetter than London with slightly sunnier summers and slightly duller winters.

Good God. Are all these "rate this _______ climate" threads for real? Has this really become that much of an anorak forum?
