Anyway, to the guy that said SF rarely gets below 55, really? I can tell you never even bothered to research because you also said Quito has hot summers I don't get why people post without researching stuff first.
It could be a "Kaul" troll account. Speaking of Kaul, where is he, I need my daily fix of laughter.

Spring and Fall weather are definitely not the same here. March and December are more alike in terms of weather than March and November.

The mean maximum, for San Francisco, is running 2 degrees C below average this month with just 3 days reaching/exceeding 20 degrees.

Hmm. I wonder where the WG site is exactly suited at and this is what I was basing the "cooler than average" temps on: San Francisco, CA 94101 Month Weather Report - AccuWeather.com (http://www.accuweather.com/us/ca/san-francisco/94101/forecast-month.asp?mnyr=8-01-2011&view=table - broken link)

I think the WG site is at the airport, which is outside the city limits and tends to be less affected by the ocean.

I think I'd die in a summer like that. Seems sunny enough, but 12-13C overnight lows and 18-22C days are early spring to me, not summer.

This has not been my experience. I'm sure it depends on where you live, but in Tennessee Spring felt different than Fall to me. It basically just seemed hotter and more humid. Spring air in the sunshine would be hazy and feel kind of thick, whereas Fall air would be clear and less oppressive, even on fairly warm days. Of course, maybe my mind was playing tricks on me. Since I hate Summer, Spring was a sickening time of year for me. But Fall meant Winter was right around the corner, and so perhaps I subconsciously tolerated the same weather better?

Hmm. I think I notice a similar effect in the Northeast, though of course neither Spring nor Fall is oppressively hot and humid up here.

I associate Fall more with clear days with deep blue skies and fairly mild and consistent temps. Spring can be cloudier and bring more unsettled weather with up and down temps, with some hot days and some nasty cold frosty days (or rather nights). I remember late spring having some days with rather high dew points and some hot and dry ones as well.

Thanks for that "nei". The Accu-weather site, I suspect, is taken somewhere at Golden Gate Park or even in the "Sunset/Richmond" districts. Feel free to correct me
