With lows between 17 and 20°C, and highs 12°C to 14°C higher, it doesn't look too humid. Come on, you're not tell me it's hard to sleep when the daily low is at 21°C (and lower than that for 9 months) - it's a typical summer low in Nice.
I would assume it only gets that low for a few hours in the early morning, so when you go to bed, it'd still be uncomfortably hot in the room from the day's heat (assuming there's no A/C). Best temperature for sleeping weather is 60 F and below, IMO. Even when it's in the 50s, I still use a fan.

You're right. The low is reached around 3 AM, long after most people are asleep. It's still humid and in the 70s-80s till about midnight
That's right I was referring to Nice as my hometown, but that's also true for a vast part of the US, Asia, southern Europe, Australia, etc in summer
Once again, not everyone lives in a place where summer lows are regularly above 20C, so forgive those of us who don't for not being accustomed to those kind of temperatures.

I don't think those who live in hot climates get used to lows above 20 C either considering they use A/C all summer. If I don't turn the A/C on during warmer nights, my quality of sleep declines.
Average summer lows are in the low 50s here so sleeping is never uncomfortable. There are maybe one or two nights a year that I sleep with my window open when the overnight low is 65 F or so (but nor'west winds might keep the temp 70+ F until early morning).
I've been to places where lows where in the mid 70s and I slept outside very comfortably.
10°C lows feel cold in winter already, let alone in summer - totally creepy imo.
