I moved here in June 2016 so I missed that. I came just in time for the worst winter in 120 years lol.

I think 2008/2009 was way worse because there was a lot of snow on the ground for 2-3 weeks.

Yep I remember that winter, it was the first time that I got tired of snow and wanted to see the green grass again.

This week proves that people cannot make conclusions based on 5 days. This week Seattle is in the 70s, possible 80 on Thursday while London is struggling to reach 60 and is also on the wet side. The exact opposite of last week. Weather in spring is variable in both places it seems.

London gets more rain in the summer and less in the winter than does Seattle. I was in London for weeks this winter and it was pretty windy, I think windier than Seattle but more sun in the winter....it didn't seem colder except for the wind.

Wind is what I hate the most. It makes it feel significantly colder in winter.

It does dry things out though -there is a frequent morning katabatic wind here, and while it is chilly, it does help dry out the ground.

I would take that over less wind and damper soil conditions.

The weather I dislike most is dry and windy. It feels colder than drizzly and calm.

Wind doesn't last long though - the katabatic winds here are normally done by about 9:00am, and the rest of the day is usually very calm.
