What are the annual sunshine hours in Casablanca? Viewing it's stats on Wikipedia, the temperature range looks excellent.

My preference is for maximums around 24-28C year round, low to medium rainfall and high sunshine hours (3,000+). I think San Diego away from the coastline fits my requirements. Hawaii also fares well but a more humid climate and a bit too much rain.

An additional preference is for stability and few seasonal surprises. That is, if the average high for the month is 25C then I have a preference for low variability day-to-day. Also places that are less affected by La Nina and El Nino. I guess I am not one for climatic surprises!

Heres mine and it's simple:

Corvallis, OR where I live now, with a degree or two additional warming starting in March to about 5 more during July and August. Rainfall pattern similar to Redding, California and about the same number of sunshine hours that Redding advertises (but probably doesn't really get).

My dream climate is somewhere around here:

Busselton, Western Australia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Strangely, not far from where the above poster is residing right now!

That's not bad. I'd give it a B.

- Summer highs below 95F
- Summer lows above 65 F
- Winter highs above 50 F
- Winter lows above 25 F
- Annual sunshine above 7000 hours
- I hate gloomy, gray winters; love crisp but sunny winters
- Rainfall below 40''
- Snowfall below 40"
- Semi-arid climate/low humidity (humidity level below 25% preferred)
- Four seasons
- I hate wind, anytime of year
- I love summertime thunderstorms but am petrified of tornados

I'm California born and bred but would never live there again. I think areas of Colorado fit my criteria pretty well. Am interested to hear any where else in the world that may fit the bill.

Annual sunshine above 7000 hours. I think that is impossible the sunniest city in the world is Yuma, and that has ~4100 hours of sunshine. Although, if they let you live on top of Mauna Kea that would probably have 7000 hours

Hey...thought I'd try. Guess I have to account for night, right?

I'll take ~3000 hours of sunshine annually.

Lol yes, that's where I was wondering. Since there's only 8760 hours in a year, there'd be no night

But, you already live in the sunniest state in the U.S., though temp isn't your liking. New Mexico seems like a fit. Might be a tad too cold though during summer nights

My current climate is close, but it's still not perfect.

Bellingham, WA:

(From the left, avg high, avg low, mean, avg precip, record high, record low)

Jan 48°F 36°F 42°F 4.56 in. 65°F (1986) 9°F (1996)
Feb 50°F 36°F 43°F 3.02 in. 66°F (1986) 5°F (1989)
Mar 54°F 39°F 47°F 3.12 in. 78°F (2004) 17°F (1989)
Apr 59°F 42°F 51°F 2.59 in. 76°F (2005) 28°F (1997)
May 64°F 47°F 56°F 2.50 in. 80°F (2005) 30°F (1992)
Jun 69°F 51°F 60°F 1.84 in. 84°F (2004) 37°F (1992)
Jul 73°F 54°F 64°F 1.06 in. 90°F (2004) 43°F (2002)
Aug 74°F 54°F 64°F 1.27 in. 91°F (1990) 44°F (2000)
Sep 68°F 50°F 59°F 1.81 in. 84°F (1986) 37°F (1996)
Oct 59°F 45°F 52°F 3.63 in. 75°F (1992) 23°F (2006)
Nov 51°F 39°F 45°F 5.84 in. 68°F (1999) 4°F (1985)
Dec 46°F 35°F 41°F 4.12 in. 63°F (2002) 6°F (1990)

Changes I would make:
1. Average temps November through March 10-20 degrees cooler

2. Average temps April through October be ~5-10 degrees cooler.

3. Annual precipitation is about 35 inches which is fine, but I'd probably spread that out a little more so that there's more variation of rain/clouds vs clear sunshine throughout the year, instead of how it is now, which is generally sunny and dry summer months and cloudy and rainy winter months. I'd like to see more sunny days in winter and more rainy days in summer, just for some variety.

4. I can't find the numbers now, but I think the sunshine hours here are no more than 2000 or so. That's fine with me, but like precipitation I'd spread it out more evenly throughout the year.

5. Snowfall averages could be a little higher, but that's not a big deal to me.
