meh, this is kindergarten compared to the Kimberely region of Australia....

B .... only because the dry may get a bit boring. In the wet, awesome lightning storms, mostly in November and December, In Jan and Feb it degrades to mostly showers and rain periods with sunshine rivalling a Melbourne winter. In a bad season, rainfall can exceed 1000mm a month as it did last Feb.

I'd take Winnipeg over Darwin any day, but even Winnipeg's summers are too warm for my liking.

I'd live half the year in Winnipeg and half the year in Darwin - only problem is that Darwin's winter and Winnepeg's summer both occur at the same time!!!

In a climate battle thread between Winnipeg and Darwin, most people would choose Winnipeg. Even for cold haters, Winnipeg is pretty tolerable from March to November.

I don't know if I can tolerate the blazing sun and scorching tropical heat 365 days a year. That would be too much.

In my case, hardly.

I'd do ANYTHING to avoid even a single -8 C/18 F morning.
Winnipeg can see that every month except Jun-Aug.

"Tolerable" for me begins when daytime highs exceed 60 F; scarce in most of Canada 6-8 months a year.

I already only enjoy Toronto reliably from mid-late May to mid-September.
Winnipeg, I'd take another 1-2 months away for comfort.
