Thailand has been experiencing some of the worst flooding in the last 50 years. There have been serious floods starting in the northern part of the country since around July or August, and has been steadily working it's way south. At the present time, the flooding is working its way into the capital city, Bangkok. Over 300 people have been killed from the floods. The Thai people are taking it all in stride as usual. It's unknown how much more severe the flood will hit the city. Early official reports claimed the problem will be minimal, but it's turning out to be worse than expected.
A friend of mine just captured some footage of the area by the old airport at Don Meung, which is on the north side of Bangkok.
The next footage was captured by someone else, showing a very long line of cars (on the left side) using the side of elevated expressways as a parking lot to avoid having their vehicles drenched. Based on the date, I believe this is also in Bangkok, but I'm not absoutely sure where in the city.
Flights to Don Muang Airport in Bangkok have been cancelled due to flooding. Some flights have been diverted to Bangkok's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport located east of Bangkok. It's high and dry (so to speak).
