I'm wondering if the Braemar/Altnaharra weather site is located at optimum location to get the coldest temperatures, seeming as that's the only thing Altnaharra in particular is known for?

I know the Braemar site was moved in 2005 so not sure if that's changed anything.. or if they moved it for 'better' results. They're both located in pretty deep frost hollows though.

By my standards, the winter is cold but fairly mild compared to what I'm used to. Painfully long and brutally cloudy, though.

Any clue what the snowfall might be? Given its precipitation and winter temps, I imagine it could be quite high...

D. Better than Juneau but not much.

F. cold and cloudy hole. Hope it has a bigger than normal distribution of bottle shops and fast food outlets to numb the pain.
