I give it a 2, quite nice. If summer temperatures were a few degrees higher it would be a 1. Need to have 23C dew points.

I was too harsh on it. I give it a solid C. It is a bit too wet and I believe the summers are rather humid (more so than ours).

I ticked the 2 box....all up a reasonable climate.....extremes are few and far between, but even so there are a few weather events along that stretch of coast to keep the enthusiast interested. The region is prone to cool season ECL's ( East Coast Lows ) that share some characteristics of Tropical Cyclones There have been 2 such events in July, causing massive swells and severe coastal erosion with some beach front houses collapsing into the Pacific Ocean.
And yes, its the southern most part of the east coast where coconut palms have grown successfully ( and even then its somewhat of a struggle if there is too much winter rain.
