I don't believe this has been done before, which is surprising.

Where are those numbers from? It says weatherbase but Dallol isn't there.

I can't say I have any idea, because I don't. I just found it using a quick google search.

However if anyone has any more reliable data for Dallol please feel free to post.

B+ half the year is a bit too much.. probably the one of the only tropical climates that gets less than A for me.

Despite all my love for warmth and heat, I have to agree that this is way too much. I would still prefer Dallol over Barrow, though, so,

As it's uninhabited my usual criteria of liveability for a climate no longer apply IMO, so I'm going to give it an A+ for how impressive it is, even though we only have about seven years of data to go off. I wonder if it's susceptible to particularly high individual temperatures in the 125F+ range, or if it's as stable as perhaps the low daily/monthly range suggests? Also wondering about return periods between rain events and sun data.

If the numbers are right, then the summers are hotter than Death Valley. Maybe it a thermometer was still there it would break the world's hottest temperature record. Perhaps a weather junkie with lots of money could be convinced to fund a weather station there?

Did Dallol get abandoned because of the heat or the remoteness?
