We've gained an hour just in the last 10 days, and about 2:43h since the solstice.

LOL

Today

Solar noon: 1:30pm
Sunrise: 6:40am
Sunset: 8:20pm
That GMT+3 scenario is similar to Attu Island, AK (07:04 am - 12:00 am for the longest day, solar noon 03:32 pm!)

Here, although the sunrise is at 6:26, there's a big hill blocking the morning sun, plus the thick shade, so there's not a whole lot of light in the house to after 7 or so, even on clear mornings. We're getting twilight well past 9 pm though, which is pretty good for 34 degrees of latitude .
You can do that in the east Java highlands/mountains, only at 8 degrees south!. In Banyuwangi the earliest sunrise is 4:50, and slightly earlier near Ijen Crater due to prominence effect. With clear skies it would be bright at 4am or slightly earlier (mid to late November), civil dawn a few minutes before 4:30. Along with morning temps in the single digits C, it would feel like Scottish Highlands summer (minus the snow on the peak)

Holy ****, that's nearly how much our day length varies throughout the whole year and it's only a month after the solstice lol.

05:50 to 06:15 pm - Bandung tomorrow 1/2. True darkness from 07:28 pm to 04:37 am

-Bologna has the same solar noon as Pekanbaru (solar times 06:25 - 06:30 pm), which is on the late side. With DST it would resemble Kuala Lumpur
