This is probably the darkest time of the year. No snow yet but days are short and in constant thick cloud cover it really doesn't reach full daylight even at noon. Though days are much shorter still in December, snow changes the whole atmosphere.

For the ATL -

7:00 am sunrise
5:40 pm sunset

10h 40 min of daylight. For me, that's some short daylight!

Dunno what the sun angle is, but it's slanting deep into the house through the noon hour now. Just gotta wait for the stupid leaves to fall to really make things bright around here. Gotta take advantage of that passive solar heating. In any case, November sure is a sunny month in these parts - but then again, what month isn't sunny in the ol' ATL? ...lol. What's weird about the winter months is that it's incredibly bright right up to almost sunset time, and whammo, it's pitch-black dark in 30 minutes. Some really nice sunsets though.

This is terrible. I have worse sunsets than many high latitude posters.
That's a brutal sunset time for the season at 42°. Who the hell needs a 6:25 am sunrise in November?

In laggy Paris,

Sunrise: 7:46 am
Sunset: 5:22 pm
Max angle: 25°
