50 F/10 C and overcast at 2AM

Local NWS station near my home is offline, so I'll post data from another station for the time being. I'm not there anyway, so this is more representative of the conditions I'm experiencing.

13.0C / 55.4F at 07:42

The low was 10.1C / 50.1F at midnight, the temperature has been rising ever since to a current high. It's the first low above 10C/50F since 23 October.

In Bordeaux (south-west), 29°C / 84F is not really unusual in April. The fist warm waves in early spring usually give this kind of temperatures in Bordeaux, even if the average for this time of year is obviously lower. This year they already had some days with temperature above 20°C in the end of winter.
In 2011, Bordeaux has 30°C the 9th of April; this happens almost every year.

Many people think that "oceanic" climate are always cool and wet and sunless; but this is not the case in most of the Atlantic french coasts from Vendée (south of Britanny) to the Basque country.

The south-west has climate classified as "oceanic" because the rain can happen every time, and the summers are somehow less predictible than in the mediterranean areas; but the summers are much hotter and dryer than the oceanic climates fruther north, and winters milder (Britanny, Normandy, British isles...)

heatwaves that hit the country 2 or 3 times each summer can bring temperatures above 40°C, so well 29°C isn't that hot at all, especially for the south-west. 29°C in April in Normandy would somehow more unusual, this this could happen.

to come back to now in the Loire Valley: 21°C / 69F at 11h45.

Still expecting 10-16 inches of fresh snow. Marion is in Lamoure county.

Quote:
The most severe conditions, given the combination of very strong winds and heaviest snowfall, are expected today east of Bismarck. This area includes the counties of Wells, Foster, Kidder, Stutsman, Logan, and Lamoure. This area will be monitored closely, and if the intensity of the developing storm system increases resulting in stronger winds, the Winter Storm Warning may need to be upgraded to a Blizzard Warning.

If it reaches 16.2ºC it becomes the hottest day of the year here.
One of the highest lows of the year as well, 9.9ºC
