Dry, cold air coming in off the continent this afternoon, -1.0C close to 5pm and the sunshine through most of the day has had next to no impact on temperatures at all. There's a lot of refrozen slush and surface ice around at the moment.
Temperature had fallen to -7.9c / 17.7F earlier before cloud arrived, nearby Church Fenton was at -12c / 10.4f at 2am, I wonder how low it would have fallen..
-0.1C and very overcast at midday despite pressure of 1039mB. Bleak.
