The UK is an island, it will always be less exposed to these things then France, especially with the cold surrounding oceans/sea

If I was a heat love in Brittany and Normandy I'd be MUCH angrier though.

Hitting 70F is one thing, but seeing 77 today was a bit on the warmish side. I don't mind those temps in May, but too warm for March. I did however adore those morning temps in the 40s.

Only topped out at 16c at my backyard weather station today,
in Burlington,On (I'm only a block from Lake Ontario,
the lake tends to keep high temps cooler , away from the lake it hit 19c/66f

73F (23C) with a dewpoint of 57F (14C) at the airport and 75F (24C) in Cloquet (I'm half-way between them) under partly sunny skies with a light southerly breeze! This weather is INCREDIBLY NICE and UNBELIEVABLY WARM AND HUMID for mid-March in Duluth. The usual high for today is 34 F (1 C). The current temperature exceeds the record by 12 F. Some local PWS's are reporting temperatures in the 77-79F (25-26C) range with dewpoints as high as 62F (17C)!!!!!!!!!!!!
