Inspired by Gore, Ethiopia, I thought I'd make a more exteme, continental version at a cooler temperature.
The picturesque town of Mount Washenfreeze lies deep inland in a tropical lattitude in the northern hemisphere, adjacent to tropical regions that experience a dry season with highs in the 40sC, and at an altitude of about 4300 meters.
Lows hover around freezing all year ( frosts are possible any time, and nightime percipitation often comes as snow or hail ), with the coolest season being the summer wet season. Due to its continental location and adjacent hot areas, summer highs are often reach into the upper 20s, sometimes creeping above thirty, but cloudy days and intense, almost-daily rains in summer mean much cooler days in the high-sun period.
Average sunshine is around 2400 hours, with a peak of 290 hours in February and a low of just 80 in July.
The surrounding scenery is mixture of alpine moorland and hardy montane forest.
D-, and that's being generous. The warm and dry daytime air in the summers (er... winters) are this climate's only positive. Winters (um, summers) could stand to have both lower highs and lower lows. Too much rain too! If only it could be colder, we might see snow that lasts past morning!
I'll give this one a B. It's really interesting. I'd give an A if summer lows were higher.
