Interestingly ( given our divergent weather preferences ), I'm much the same way about layers. There really isn't a season I don't layer, as in winter I need to keep warm, and in summer I need to keep the sun off and avoid sweat stains. Here in summer I always wore a light undershirt with a long-sleeve shirt overtop.
I love heat but I hate having my arms and legs ''naked'' except when I'm swimming.
Interesting, I have a similar clothing preference. I prefer wearing long-sleeved shirts, pants, and jackets. I certainly do wear shorts on occasion during the summer and I wear t-shirts practically from May to September. If I lived in a desert climate, I probably would wear long-sleeved shirts during the summer to protect myself from the sun. Here it's too humid for that.

When I lived in Tennessee I used to try wearing undershirts with a very light long-sleeved shirt as an outer layer, but then both layers would just wind up saturated with sweat. However, had it not been so humid it may have worked better for me.
I spend a lot of time outside. Seldom do I feel hot, and never do I feel cold. It's a comfortable climate 12 months of the year and I rate that factor highly.
Gardening. I like big, bold foliage, so need a climate that enables that. Night time temps 2-3C/4-6F warmer than surrounding areas make a huge difference with a lot of the plants and crops that I grow.
Variety- I like settled sunny weather best, but like a bit of everything else as well.
I voted for: It’s important to me that a climate is suitable for outdoor activities that I enjoy. - I'm not as outdoorsy as I used to be but I do like to be outside and hate it when weather gets in the way.
Outdoor conditions greatly affect my mood/wellbeing (even if I’m not outside). - I feel differently on rainy/cloudy and on sunny days even when I'm inside. Also I notice myself being more active and happier in the spring for the same reason (weather affecting my mood).
I enjoy seeing a wide range of weather conditions for variety’s sake. - I prefer warm weather but I get bored of the same type of weather easily. I do like some seasonality.
Suitable for outdoor activities- I like weather that allows for a range of activities, like going to the beach in the summer and being able to ski in the winter areas that provide this sort of variety rate very highly for me.
Scenery- I enjoy seeing all types of conditions rain, snow, thunderstorms, and just seeing the effect seasonal variations have on the natural environment.
Variety- For the reasons stated above I enjoy variety. Day-to-day variations are important for me as well as seasonal variations. Don't mind extreme high's and low's provided they are not around for extended periods.
Outdoor conditions greatly affect my mood/wellbeing (even if I’m not outside).
