The Canary Islands are not the islands of "Endless Spring".
The can get warm as well humid in Summer.
And the inland valleys of Gran Canaria can get really hot.

When people say 25C+ lows/dewpoints "very tropical"
That level of night warmth/humidity is very rare in most of the true tropics!

Most annoying (and wrong) climate claim?

"It snows more because it's warmer"

The standard "40C with 100% humidity" bull****. And who can forget Sophie from Buenos Aires and her 40C nights

That's not wrong. Warmer air holds more moisture hence more precipitation. Certain places are cold enough that warmer-than-normal doesn't necessarily mean less snowfall.

Exactly, NYC winters suck and Chicago has even lower temperatures, so I cant imagine it's fun being in Chicago from December to March. At least it warms up really quickly unlike most places in the Great Lakes

Of course it is. It's so wrong, and so easy to prove, it's unbelievable that anyone would fall for such a blatantly false claim about something like this.

It's very annoying.

December and March are totally fine in the southern Great Lakes, imo. The March average high is almost 50F. In fact, with the strong sunshine in March it can feel downright warm.

In my opinion, it's only January and February that are consistently uncomfortable in Detroit/Chicago.

Do you have any way of backing up your claims? It is very possible that warmer temperatures may or had the possibility of leading to more snowfall in certain places, namely places that are frigid to begin with with average winter temperatures far below freezing. I don't see why that's so "blatantly wrong" or hard for you to understand.
