^Interesting choices, a lot of people in the US consider the plains to be the worst climates in the country. I like the lows year-round, but the days are about 5C/10F too warm.
North central or northeastern US, Southern Canada, a few places in western Russia. Mild to warm summers and snowy winters without major thaws. No extended droughts either. Anything similar to these climates is ideal. My current climate is warmer than my ideal.
I'm surprised you haven't selected one Dutch or English climate, while selecting very similar climates from other countries -is there something about the similar Dutch and English climates, that you don't like?
