Cool site, but would be better if they allowed you to specify by warmest and coldest months. That way you could get results for both hemispheres and also avoid problems with seasonal lag, etc.

Yup exactly. I wish there was like "at least 1 month with over 300mm", "at least 1 month with temps above 30°C", etc
Great find! Nothing very surprising here. What was surprising was increasing the January max to 0C and finding Aosta, Italy, Hof, Germany, and Sarajevo in the results.
