Thick fog and in the mid 40s right now. Forecast high 80°F; normal 48°F.

Forecast high 75°F tomorrow, but NYC only 58°F.

Certainly feels strange outside. Balmy, 65 F, and a slight hint of humidity.

I'm not a tree expert but it looks like Magnolias are blooming in NJ. On average, NJ has been warmer than NYC proper because it is farther away from the cool ocean water.

I saw one of those Cherry blossom trees a few days ago when I was walking to the shop, I'm not sure when they usually start blooming though

They're in bloom here as well, although they seem to be one of those trees that often have a few flowers on them, at any time

Normally mid October here- very late, usually the last to bloom.

Yesterday it hit 81 in Chicago, the fifth day in a row with a record high, all either 81 or 82 degrees. Today is forecast to be in the mid-upper 70's with a chance of rain.

J96g, (well it think it was you who left me the rep point with the "Ugh, 80's already" comment.) I'm loving this early taste of summer. My ugh would be if it were in the 20's and snowing. I loved that it was warmer, and a lot less snowier than usual in Chicago this past winter.

I detest 80's in general, except for summer heat waves, so 80's Fahrenheit in March are abominable as far as I'm concerned. 25 and snowing sounds about right to me. Bring it on! Death to the 80's .

Of course it's fine by me if you like it (weather preferences are subjective), and I don't begrudge you for liking it - what I begrudge is the summer itself, as I personally hate that weather.

Yeah it was me. While I don't personally like anything over 79, I understand the need for seasons and warmth. The "ugh" was that the 80s were in too early, not in the 80s themselves. And yes, as it is March, 20s and snowing would be "ugh" because of the timing, not the 20s and snowing themselves, which I personally love winter weather. But now it's a refreshing 44°F outside with sun and light winds for Denver!

High of 86 F forecasted for Boston on Thursday. All time record high for March is 89 F. Of course an east wind could wreck that. Right now it's only 56 F after being at 66 F an hour ago. High today was 73 F.
