Gonna be quite a cool one as well, highs might barely or not even make it to 50 F Sunday through Tuesday.

As for the rain, FINALLY!!!!!!!! About time we're getting some rain, and a good amount as well. Hopefully the rain helps with the drought conditions.

Yeah. It may be the most exciting weather since October.

Latest statement from the NWS:

SOME THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN
AND GUSTY WINDS.

A COASTAL STORM WILL AFFECT THE AREA SUNDAY AND MONDAY. THE SYSTEM
WILL PRODUCE A PERIOD OF HEAVY RAIN, ALTHOUGH THE EXACT LOCATION
OF THE MAIN RAIN AXIS IS A BIT UNCERTAIN STILL. HOWEVER DESPITE
THE CURRENTLY RATHER DRY CONDITIONS, IF ANY HEAVIER RAIN FALLS
ESPECIALLY IN A SHORTER PERIOD OF TIME THEN THERE WILL BE A
LOCALIZED FLOOD THREAT. GUSTY WINDS MAY ALSO ACCOMPANY THE SYSTEM.

We need the rain really bad here in southern Connecticut/NYC area too!. The ground is like sand. I hope it happens, the drought here is the most intense I've ever seen it.

Really? I thought 1999 was worse than this. It didn't help that it was during the summer. This year, while it's been bad, I've noticed that everything is still relatively green and reservoir levels aren't dangerously low...yet.

At least Saturday was nice. I took a snap in Central Park, NYC. Hard to see because of the exposure but the skies were blue.

You're further ahead than we are now. The cool weather appears to have prevented much growth since late March.

75F/43F and clear skies for today.

It'll be near 80F tomorrow...

That 75F really didn't feel too warm though. Next week will see a return of mid 50s to low 60s for highs and some rainy weather.

I don't believe it... weather.com says rain/SNOW SHOWERS for my area on Tuesday. I don't know if that forecast is accurate or not, but still pretty crazy that there's a chance for snow this late in April!

Hmm I don't see that on the NWS page, but that would be pretty awesome if flakes flied this time of year. I certainly won't count on it though.
