24% now; 14% at one point yesterday. Probably will be 100% overnight and tomorrow morning.

I just got done driving through those deep rust areas in Georgia today - boy, it sure does look dry! The grass is all brown and burnt, dust blowing around everywhere, it seemed much more like west Texas than south Georgia. Of course its hot and getting hotter...I knew I should have applied to work on top of Mt LeConte this summer...lol.

A hurricane or 2 would be greatly welcomed down here....

Current forecast suggests a week of warm, cloudy, and wet weather.

That's a great storm that's coming for them. One of many reasons why I think coastal Labrador has the best eastern Canadian climate.

Going back up north to see family for the May Day long weekend coming up and what the hell?! Those temperatures are about 5C cooler than it was last time I went home at Christmas!

It's the first of May today, but you wouldn't think so.

Overcast, windy, drizzle, and the leaves are no more evident on the trees than they were in late March. In fact they seem to have retracted somewhat in the cold of Arctic April. A disgusting sight of deadness all around. Another killing frost coming up next week.

While everyone is getting rain around here, Mt Washington in New Hampshire is getting some frozen stuff this morning. Just means temps above there are still freezing levels.

Wind chill temp is still 7 degrees but this afternoon the layer above should push through and let the warm air in.

Love the climate of Atlantic Canada. Interesting to hear that it was the warmest April on record in St. John's. Is the data available yet? Average for April is 41/28 F (mean 34.5 F).

And I'm jealous of the cool weather in the UK.

We got about a quarter inch of rain overnight/this morning. Forecasted high is 74 F, but as of noon it's only 54 F.
