Severe TC Lua (Cat 4) is just about to hit the Western Australian Pilbara coast east of Port Hedland.
http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDW60280.gif?1331960415008 (broken link)

Winds up to 250 km/h possible near the centre, which thankfully is likely to be in remote pastoral country.
A number of locations in the Pilbara also look like easily breaking their record low maximum temperatures today for March.

^^Looks like a very nice autumn forecast for you guys.

We've now gone 6 weeks with just 0.4mm on 1 rain day. No rain on the forecast for the next week either.

On a positive note the temperatures are starting to cool down a fair bit, even on some of the hotter days overnight temperatures are quite cool and pleasant and now that it's nearing equinox the sun has lost a bit of its bite.

Winter beginning? With a low of 17C (your forecast you posted)? I don't think that's typical for even Melbourne's mild winters, if one can call them that. I'd definitely say that's summer-like, not winter-like (or even autumn- or spring-like). I understand you detest overcast, rain, and wind in any case, and I respect that and wish you luck in getting to a better-weather spot (which is really what you need to do at least as a long-term goal).

Ignore that 17C low, and concentrate on the run of 17C highs..... that's 7C below average for March Only 5 out the 17 days this month have exceeded the average high of 24C, and now we have this putrid crap to look forward too.

Definetely cooler than summer but not as cool as autumn, just some "what summer should be" weather. The first 10 days of march were horrendous, but this last week weve enjoyed pretty nice days, and specially cooler nights. It looks like next week we are still gonna enjoy some cooler days and nights, though i really wish nights will get cooler, like in the 13c-15c, but i know im gonna have to wait until april for that.

Anyways, so far March is behaving way better than last March (that was really hot and unberable), so, yay!! I cant wait till April and its 14c nights come along!

ChesterNz and Flightsimmer, you are really having some nice forecast there! i kinda envy you! i will love those 11c/13c lows! For next week our absolute lows will be 17c, and mostly 18/19c, wich means at night temp will be around 23c. I will LOVE for us to have a 11c night for example!

Anyways, it will come soon enough i guess...

I dont think our forecast looks similar to flightsimmer, his looks awesome! Have you seen those 12/19, 13/17 and 11/17 days?? BA reaching those temperatures in March?? Sadly impossible!
