Default Is it ever going to really RAIN in SW Ohio again?

These little hit and miss showers just aren't cutting it. We need some serious soaking rains. The weather forecasters around here simply don't know what they're talking about. They keep saying it's supposed to rain and possibly storm later this afternoon and into tomorrow morning - but there's bright sunny, blue skies outside!!!!

Sorry for the rant. This is just getting old. The rain keeps going north or south of us. When are WE going to get nailed by it?

Join the club. We are officially 10" below in my neck of the woods. Even the tropical storm didn't really help end the drought where it did rain on the coast.

Give it another year. In 2005 and 2006 Oklahoma was frequently in the news for flash brush fires. Many acres were burned. Rain mostly happened in hit and miss showers when it did. But things can change 360 degrees. Now in 2007 intense flash flooding and spectacular rescues have happened. After a recent 6" downpour Oklahoma City just went over 50" for the 2nd rainiest year on record. There's still plenty of time left to break the record for rainiest year.
