Quite the contrast after a dismal February (21.71 hours). It was notably cold towards the end of the month.

I'll get back in the groove of fantasy forecasting, and as always my god-like powers ensure 100 percent accuracy .

Patricianopolis - Daily Overview

Yesterday marked the last day of the warm wave which was present over the past week. Due to a strong warm front, yesterday was the peak of the warmth, reaching a high of 70F, setting a new record high. 0.23 inches of rain fell yesterday, associated with thunderstorms which swept through the region overnight just before the cold front. The average sustained wind yesterday was 36 mph, and the peak gust was 74 mph, the first hurricane-force wind of the month.

Week at a Glance (all temps in degrees Fahrenheit)

April 7: Mostly sunny and windy. Morning high of 40F, dropping to 30F by sunset. Winds NW 35-50 mph, gusting to 60 mph.

April 8: Sunny and windy. Low 17F. High 34F. Winds NNW 20-30 mph, gusting to 40 mph.

April 9: Sunny early, turning mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Cold. Low 11F. High 30F. Winds NNE 10-20 mph.

April 10: Snow and wind. Cold. Low 23F. High 30F. Winds ENE 20-30 mph. 4-6 inches of new snow expected.

April 11: Windy; snow tapering to snow showers in the afternoon. Temperatures steady near 24F. Winds ENE 20-30 mph, gusting to 40 mph in the afternoon. 3-5 inches of new snow expected.

April 12: Cloudy and windy. Very cold. Low 5F. High 18F. Winds NNE 15-25 mph.

April 13: Mostly cloudy. Very cold. Low -3F. High 19F. Winds N 5-10 mph.

Weekly Analysis

This week will feature temperatures well below average, possibly even below 0F, which will be a stark contrast from the 60-70F afternoons of last week. Currently the region is in the grip of a strong cold front, which will usher in a much different pattern which will persist for the next few weeks. Gusts up to 60 mph are possible in the wake of frontal passage, and windy conditions will persist for 2-3 days. On the 10th and 11th a snowstorm may dump up to a foot of snow in isolated areas. In the wake of this storm, even colder air will be pumped into the region. Highs below 20F are likely on the 12th and 13th.
