The last 20°C day was likely to have occurred a few days ago, and autumn is now in full swing, with cold air from the north advancing southwards, bringing the risk of ground frost or even localised air frost.

A continuation of some boring but nice weather for Candleville residents after a very topsy turvy month. Will they see snow and temperatures in the 90s in October? We'll see.
Missed a couple days. Yesterday was very raw with wind and heavy rain; the high was 47 F/8 C and the low was 34 F/1 C. The first freeze of the season occurred this morning (low 32 F/0 C). Today is expected to be clear and sunny with a high of 57 F/14 C. Autumnal weather is setting in, though the middle of next week will be balmy with thunderstorms. Although a few more days in the 60s are expected later this month, next week's conditions will be humid and probably the last gasp of any true semblance of summer until next year.
