What season is your city most associated with?
For instance, Perth is mostly associated with summer (hot, clear skies), as is say Los Angeles, somewhere in New England with Fall, London with winter, as is say Moscow, and Spring in Paris or Tokyo. Probably a silly question, but is your climate 'typified' in the popular imagination by a season?

Autumn/fall here in NW England. What with the gloom, generally damp and cool atmosphere. London (at least to me) wouldn't be typified as a winter type climate, maybe early spring would be better considering the temperatures and general dryness.

Leeds isn't associated with any season.
It's in northern England so is associated with rain, snow, cold and possibly the odd tornado.

Hmm... never thought of it that way, with cities having cultural depiction/association with seasons.
I guess it'd most likely be winter (most peoples' perspective).
From other Canadian cities' perspective, summer (associated with hot "muggy" weather but only relative to other cities in the country).

Nice - summer, mostly. The whole French Riviera is famous for its sunny summer weather, beaches, etc. and that's when tourists from all over Europe come here.
However centuries ago Nice was very popular among English people and Russians for its mild winter weather and crisp blue skies. Nice's famous coastal promenade is called "Promenade des Anglais" (English Promenade) because its construction was initiated by Englishmen who spent all their winters in Nice.
For the same reasons, the presence of many Russians in Nice, all of them attracted by the city's winter weather, led to the construction of the largest Russian Orthodox cathedral in the world outside Russia, in Nice.
So it's interesting that the city's two most famous landmarks 1) are not French 2) were built by communities attracted by Nice's mild sunny winters...
So, for Nice, I'd say that nowadays the city is usually associated with summer, but historically, winter.
