No contest, PM's climate wins for me. Dhdh's climate looks like a worse version of south FL

The only error you made was the April record low; it's -23, not +23. Any other errors, if any, are negligible. I've never computed monthly sun totals, but I'm pretty sure the least sun in terms of absolute hours would occur in October or November, and the most in June or July. Just so everyone knows, annual hours are in the low 2000's (I just computed the annual hours for one year!). Low humidity and dew points are the rule in my climate; when there isn't precipitation falling often the dew points are tens of degrees below the air temperature, often yielding humidities of 10-30% (for example, if it's not precipitating and 50F, usually the dew point will be 10-20F).

For the original information for my climate click here.

Naturally I choose my own creation . These fantasy standoffs are pure fun, and to my knowledge this is the first of its kind. I'm glad that my climate was a combatant in the first battle. The descriptions you gave were perfect. The biased "glorious warmth" in yours was spot on for such a post - just the right amount of slant. The "icy subarctic" phrase was a great descriptor for my climate, one I would vouch for.

And Nei: If you want your climate thrown into the mix, start your own climate battle thread. This topic is a choice between my climate and Dhdh's.

Well, I wasn't trying to take over the thread or add to the battle, just post the image of mine. I'm not sure which climate to battle it against, though. I think another temperate rather subarctic or tropical would make sense. Maybe I could search old threads.

Patricius used McGrath, AK as a template for his climate, because all months look similar but slightly warmer. Even the record lows are plagiarized, quite obvious lol

McGrath climate

Who cares? The two climates are very different

I like dhdh's but would prefer different precipitation distribution. Also summer lows to be cooler. Lower humidity would be nice.

No idea. It's purely fictional It's pretty much my dream climate, or at least my dream climate today. My desires fluctuate daily but let's say that's a good average

For all it's worth, it's "based on" (or rather inspired by) Dakar, Senegal and its coastline.

Mine would be more humid, more green, with a lusher vegetation, though.

Oops, sorry about that!

I really appreciated all of you guys' responses.
I am quite surprised by Sophie's choice, although I know you really can't stand heat on the other hand, PM's cold is rather extreme...and his summer very anemic.

I'd be glad to see more of those dream climate battles thread.

Feel free to use my climate for that, especially when competing against other heat lovers' paradise - as far as I know; ColdCanadian, you have never told us a definite, precise version of your dream climate. It must be even "worse" than mine, so I'd be curious to see that and compete against it

There is no deliberate similarity with any climate - I simply entered my daily dream weather day by day and averaged it out over many years, with no template involved. It's not even close to being a clone of McGrath or Fairbanks, although McGrath's monthly records are somewhat similar. Your statement is inaccurate anyway if you look at the temperatures, and especially snowfall and precipitation pattern. Similarities with aspects of real-world climates are noted in my original description.

Nei, your explanation suffices. I look forward to a future choice with your climate in the mix.
