I was raised in the St. Louis, MO area until age 12.
My mother and I then moved to Sterling CO.
I remember dealing with cracked skin, coughing and an overall itchy feeling for a long time.
I spent many years living in Denver and Helena Montana.
In 2009 I moved to eastern Pennsylvania for my job.
Finally I'm able to once again feel the " blanket " of moderate to higher humidity.
Alot of people think I'm strange because I love humidity so much.
All I know is that it's good to " feel " home again.

I guess from living in Florida and on a humid coast most of my life - I trend to feel more comfort with at least some humidty. I've been in the southwest deserts of the USA, dry air for long time periods can get uncomfortable. I’ve seen people in the desert towns get nose bleeds so badly they had to call paramedics a few times.

I get uncomfortable sometimes, especially indoors. Certain types of heating systems just suck all the moisture out of the air. But NYC doesn't get very dry often.
