Sunshine Hours: 2,600
Rainfall: 37 in
Snowfall: 50 in

Winters are cold and snowy, but not obnoxiously so. Spring features a fairly quick warm up, but is pretty long. Summers are warm, hazy, and slightly humid with average dewpoints in the 60s. It quickly begins to cool off in September. Humidity drops off. Fall is generally chilly, though early fall still has some warm days (70s). Rainfall is spread fairly even throughout the year, with a slight peak during the summer for occasional thunderstorms. Sunshine is distributed fairly evenly throughout the year, with a slight bias in the warmer seasons.

Not bad! I give it an A-, the minus being for excessive sunshine and summer humidity. I'd be very happy with those temperatures by themselves though.

The humidity and sunshine would raise the heat index into the 80s I would think. That's not sufficiently warm? (Not questioning your preferences, just curious.)

July & August will have some adequately warm days. All places with cold winters get a D+ maximum from me.

Very nice climate. Summers are a bit on the cool side but since they're rather humid, it's not such a big problem. B+ for the coolish summers and way too high winter sunshine.

Hmmm good question. Should the records be moderate or extreme? I think moderate would be a better "compromise", but at the same time it is a continental climate so it might be unrealistic. Plus it'd be more interesting to have the records at somewhat extreme ends of the spectrum. I would think a record high in the low 100s (103 F or so) would be appropriate. Record low a bit below zero, such as negative teens. Or it could be a little more extreme with record highs in the upper 100s (108 F or so) and record low down to the negative 20s or -30 F. But then such records would suggest unpleasaning weather for both camps is possible at all points of the year.

During the spring and early fall I imagine some record dry heat with highs in the 80s and 90s.

Ideas are welcome.
