I'd pick Jerusalem.

San Diego's temps are more comfortable year-round, but I'd hate the lack of real seasonal variation and aridity. Jerusalem has twice the annual precipitation of SD and even odd snowfalls, so it's the obvious choice for me.

That's not an advantage, imo. Summer rain in San Diego is due to tropical storm remnants or the odd thunderstorm, and overall, is still very rare.

Not as rare as it used to be: we got some thundershowers today here in OC and if if the red line in the track below holds up, we could be getting some more thunderstorms in a few days from the remnants of a tropical storm later this week
remember that our "summer" is July-October so I consider this a summer rain event, especially since its of tropical origin paired with temps in the 70s as opposed to our typical winter rain paired with temps in the 50s.
