Which climate would you choose?

Windsor, Ontario - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pyongyang - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Even though sunshine hours are not listed for Pyongyang, I imagine it's probably year-round similar to Windsor with ~ 2200 hours as Seoul to the south has 2,066 hours and there would be more influence from Siberian high pressure further north.

I think I'd go for Pyongyang as winters are much drier with much less snow and it's slightly warmer year round with warmer summers.

I like Pyongyang's climate. Winters sound reliably frigid and while summers are warmer and more humid than ideal, the monsoon would be interesting. But I'll have to give the edge to Windsor...probably snowier and slightly cooler most months.

Windsor for the snowier winters. Both are warm-hot and humid in summer. Of course, Canada and North Korea are at completely opposite ends of the political spectrum and quality of life indices, so even if the climate was superior in Pyongyang, I wouldn't be moving there any time soon...

Windsor for the much more even rainfall. Winters and summers are sufficiently marked.

Slight preference for Pyongyang - I like its cold, dry and windy winters, presumably sunny too. Windsor loses points for tornadoes. Otherwise both cities have quite similar temperatures with Pyongyang being somewhat colder in winter.

Windsor for the more evenly spread rain/snowfall. Also, if winters are going to be cold I'd like to see a fair amount of snow to make it worthwhile.

Windsor

Not a fan of asia's summer monsoon, precip much more
evenly distributed.

Superluminal mentioned Windsor losing points for Tornadoes,
sure a tornado is possible but it isn't really in "Tornado Alley".
That's farther west....central Texas north thru Oklahoma and Kansas.

Pyongyang. Slightly colder winter lows are compensated by and excellent precipitation pattern and a rapid spring warm up and lingering fall.
