I would gladly sent you some warmth Jammie, for some cooler temperatures. We are supposed to hit almost 90 later this week. Our normal high for this time of year should be about 20 degrees cooler! I'm sick of this warm weather already and tired of summer. Bring on the cold temps.

That's July weather, I'm sick of the summer! That's the same as having a 67/40 day, but I don't see any of those on the horizon. Been above average almost every day for 3 weeks now I'd say. Sick and tired of it not cooling down and staying the same when it's supposed to change some! I'm just fed up! Next best chance for a cool down is in about 10 days where they claim we'll be in the 60's again. Granted, they just said that a few days ago about this weekend...
You are right. I just checked the forecast for our area in Dallas/FW. A few days ago it was supposed to be a Saturday cool front. Then, it was expected to move in Sunday. And now... Well, below's the forecast.. It's supposed to be 91 on Sunday. Right now at 6:30 a.m. it's 80 degrees. Gag me. I'm sick of summer.

"Showers and a t-storm or two are possible mainly early today. Variable clouds & sun this afternoon. Very warm and dry the rest of the week and for most of the upcoming weekend. It looks like the cooler weather we were hoping for this weekend will stay north of the area."

OK, sending some cool temps everyone's way. Right now it is 45 with a windchill of 40. BRRRR!!!

Yesterday our high was 71~our average is 69 so we're still doing ok. Our record high for yesterday was 93 and that was set in 1910. At least today it's supposed to be 81. Just don't like the chilly mornings though.

We ARE getting some good rain here in DFW. It's cooled down from the 80 degree temps earlier in the morning to 73, at least.

Oh Synopsis, you guys don't need the rain, we do..... But glad you are cooling down...I know, we should be glad for what we have, cause when it changes, we will once again whine about how it is and wish for something different. La di da, we are never satisfied!

True aiangel_writer. We don't need it that much. It hasn't rained here in about 3 or 4 weeks, so we can use it, but I know of the very dry conditions you folks have had out in that part of the country and I feel for you. We went through that LAST year. Last year, we lost two trees in our yard to drought (a sweet gum and arbor vitae), and this year, we lost the other arbor vitae in our backyard to the ground being too wet and the tree just fell over. I hope you guys have a wet winter.

Yes, I hope that the dry areas of the country have a wet winter, too. Besides sharing my cool temps (which by the way, it managed to drop to 39 with windchill after I posted earlier), I'd be more then happy to share ALL my future snow with you.

I'm ready for some cooler weather in D/FW too! At least we did get some good rain this morning. We may not need it as much as some of the areas of the country, but we did need some rain. Our water bill was high the other day. And yeah, last year we lost some shrubs because of the drought even though I was trying to water, but we had water restrictions in place.
