So-Cal weather is unseasonably cool right now - in the mid-60s. Also, it may RAIN on Friday!!! This is almost unprecedented! This area could even set new records for low maximum temps! I'm SO happy... For those of you who live in other parts of the country, and think I'm crazy, you have to understand how rare this is. This is the kind of weather we usually don't see until January or February!

80 F, 85, and 90 F? That sounds per-fect!

It's surprisingly nice here too in the 70's F.

Once we get fall hits, all there is to do is wait another 5-6 months for spring and 7-8 months for summer.
Doesn't that sound boring?

** This post is meant in a joking manner...

Sounds like some are having nice temperatures now... its still hot here in Tennessee... even northeast Tennessee. When that first cold snap hit the northern plains and that cool air filtered down, we did cool to the 70s for highs last weekend, but only for 2 days! Our coolest low was 48°, which was a near record low for us for that day! I think that was last Sunday night. We were 87° today and will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s all week! It has been a very hot summer! All but 2 days in August were in the 90s and of those, three of those days were 100°+ days! In fact, officially, I think it was the hottest August on record here. Driest too!

NO color change on the leaves yet either.... ALL still 100% green. We typically do not see leaf change until about the first week of October. However, I thought with the very hot/dry summer, they may have been stressed and change early... we will see. I remember in 05' I think it was... they did not even start changing until about October 20th!

If you like to view the foliage reports... check this site.... I am actually a reporter for this site..... it is one of the most accurate ones I have seen..... anyone know of anymore other than TWC?

The Foliage Network - Providing accurate fall foliage conditions, fall foliage reports, and travel information for New England, the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest United States

Here's a site that will give you a rough idea. It's not as good as the first hand info that others will have, but it may help.
