Definitely New England

Real 4 season climate ...warm summer ...nice autumns
snowy winters...springs aren't bad either

And from late May to mid September you don't need a jacket,
except on rainy days
My mom comes from the UK and the one thing she loves,
is not having to wear a jacket, or even a sweater in summer.

New England also has some great skiing too.
...in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine

New England - better stats outside of the winter months, but a English winter seems like rather an ordeal anyway.

New England. It is clearly better in summer months. Winters, while colder, are less depressing.

Britain is too one dimensional for the most part, but at least it doesn't get hot too often. Upper New England (Maine, Vermont) is great, nice four season climate with plenty of snow most years and summers not too bad. Lower New England is a bit too hot in summer for my liking (MA and CT), and snow is a little sketchier.

I'll go New England overall though for much greater seasonal variation, day to day variation and more reliable snowfall.

Since it's a vs, I'll pick England,

but really, I'd go with neither and rather have Australia's New England. There's probably some others too, maybe somewhere in Africa, that would probably be even better, but anyway, out of the two, it's the UK.

New England - Northern part of the region has great winters and relatively comfortable summers. Stormier than the UK as well (thunderstorms, nor'easters, etc.)

The UK. When I was researching places to move, most of the towns in New England have higher summer temperatures than I wanted. A few were cool enough to be tolerable (though not ideal), but I had to rule them out for other reasons.

New England because of more snowfall and variability-

I like England's summers, though.
