We have less than inch on the ground but it's been well below freezing.
Just over 6 inches, probably a bit less now. Temperatures here have been very stable, a bit below freezing at night and never above 1C during the day. Too much cloud cover for anything lower, and the difference between the mean max/min is a measly 3.1C (5.7F).
Wish we had your temps right now - combined with snow cover, that is. I saw a segment of ABC news on the BBC in the early hours, seems you guys like to big up cold weather, too (Big Freeze ). The reporter was in Central Park where it was 19F.

Certainly noteworthy enough for some news coverage, but it's been ridiculously hyped up. Andersen Cooper on CNN asked, "what's going on?"(with regard to the frigid temperatures). It's January for ****'s sake lol.
Here there's little snow left, apart from dirty snow piles, ugly refrozen slush and still white patches here and there. My experience verifies: at the same temperatures (slightly above freezing), overcast damp weather (with the occasional drizzle) does a better job at melting snow than sun.
