Interesting weather change. It's been within 2°F of 80°F since 9 am but the dew point has dropped from 69°F to 57°F.
That is a cool observation! I bet you if we looked, the upper air is drying out and mixing down to surface while the surface is still warm. Another thing it could be is residual. It's going to take a while(or strong enough air) to cool down the surface. Or a clear night for the heat to escape

Hartford, CT(BDL) at 8am was 77°. Now at 7pm 77°. Yet Dewpoints went from 68° to 57°.
Manchester, NH 8am 73° 7pm 78°. Dewpoint went from 70° to 58°
After weeks and weeks of temperatures no lower than 70 even at night, it's now in the mid-60s outside, and there are more lows in the 60s in the forecast, even the low 60s. July 25 is on average the hottest day of the year here. As I see it, summer is no longer waxing but waning.
