Notes:
*A more extreme version of Nullarbor Plain towns such as Eucla and Eyre. Latitude about 32S.
* Semi arid for most of the year except for a 6 week period encompassing the last week of June, all of July and the first week of August
* Most of the year receives 80-90% sunshine apart from July, which only sees 15-20% sunshine.
* Strong fronts are limited to this 6 week 'wet' period, though cold bursts can occur infrequently at other times as the record lows suggest. Cold nights occur in June and August given the low sun angle.
* Desert to the north, west and east brings heat in every month except July, when southerly winds dominate (95% occurrance).
* A southerly seabreeze often develops in summer, cooling the temp below 30C by late evening
* The 6 week wet period allows some trees to survive, thus it is not as barren as the real Nullarbor. Inland freshwater lakes also fill in the 'wet'.
* Snow has never been recorded
* Strong winds are frequent and often lead to haboobs/dust storms in spring and summer
* Thunderstorms are very rare, occurring about once a year on average
