All of them suck for the middle of May. They're all a lot warmer than I'd like or tolerate for this time of year. However, Canberra wins because it at least has some subfreezing nights, even if it's a warm 16C during the daytime (I'd prefer 10C at the warmest, for my average probably closer to 2C).

Would probably say Mildura is the pick of these, but nights are still close to freezing.
There is nothing warm about Canberra this time of year, bar a log fire.

Log fire? I'd be more likely to wave a fan every afternoon than start a log fire any time of day .
