EDIT: I know there are different areas with different temps, but for this poll, we'll just stick with these stations.

I pick Rio de Janeiro, even if it is too hot, I think I could get used to it. Precipitation and sunshine are more acceptable.

Rio de Janeiro by a mile, even just considering climate. Lima's hyper-dryness comes at the cost of a very poor sunshine average.

Lima easily.
Despite it's flaws - fog etc, the yearly temps are much more agreeable to me than the perennial warmth and heat of Rio.

Rio of course, Lima's very dry climate would be a nightmare for me.

Rio is better than Lima in every possible way for me. Definitely A- territory.

Lima is a C- at best with these horrific cloudy months, total dryness and wimpy temps (though still very comfortable)

Rio is an A or even A+ climate for me, Lima a B- climate that's eminently comfortable and terribly drear.

Rio De Janeiro. No contest. Lima gets a D, the sunshine is unlivable, only saved from an F by the decent summer lows. 13mm of ANNUAL rainfall and a 1400 hours of sun a year? What in the sweet name of crap???!!!!??

Also does Rio really only get about 2080 hours of sunshine? I would've expected it to be sunnier than that.

Rio is the runaway winner for me.

While temperatures in Lima are very comfortable year-round (exceptionally so for 12°S) the extreme lack of rainfall would do my head in and sunshine hours are also very poor over the winter months.

Those temps are an insult for 12S.
