Great weather! 14c and mostly sunny with large clouds floating by - looks convective, maybe a shower later? Anyway, it feels lovely out there, and yes everyone is in t-shirts.

Meanwhile I'm finding it cold sitting in my room which is 19°C currently. Usually it would be 21-22°C inside. Might put the heating on to get it the correct side of 20. Shouldn't take long. Heck I wouldn't be able to cope with 14°C outside with just a T-shirt. Not even 20. More like 28. Only 11°C here, had a hail shower already but nothing since, all gone to the east probably.

Default NAO Lowest Since Last Summer

The last time the NAO(Greenland Blocking) has been this negative was August of 2011. We went through the entire winter with it being in positive territory and it finally crashed.. Forecasts keep it negative until mid month when it goes back towards Neutral.. Until then, things should stay cool in the Northeast.

It could be a record low NAO for month of June. (I havent confirmed this)

19C inside, 11C outside with clouds and rain, in June? Sign me up . To a cold-loving Fahrenheit-user, "50-degree bliss" currently exists in the U.K. (of course I know you're referring to 50C in Mecca). Speaking of that, I think I've found the post that inspired your status update...

That's heat if I ever saw it. That forecast of 51.4C (125F) is respectably hot even by Mecca standards. TWC's forecast has 110's F for highs and 80's F for lows with sunshine as far as the eye can see.

The Weather Channel's page also has an interesting current condition: 104F with moderate rain . The current dew point is 54F so I'm sure it will cool down and become more humid quickly if the rain continues, but we might have an answer to the question posed in this thread.

No need to go all the way to the UK...54°F with light rain here.

Interesting; I would have expected the rain woule evaporate on the way down.

You will notice I updated my status at 3:53PM and Dunno's post was at 3:55PM, my time.

I knew about the 50 degrees in Mekka from a different forum.

Coldest daily high for today is 61°F. Current high today is 54°F.

Though, June 8 has recorded a daily high of 53°F, but most days are slightly warmer.

June 7, 1907 recorded an overnight temperature of 29°F!

The record temperatures get much warmer in the last week of June, indicating a shift to midsummer.

Ah, I see (well, I did say "I think" ). Between my time, your time, and my computer's/the forum's time, estimates can sometimes be off by a few hours.

A snowman in June from Mt. Washington, New Hampshire U.S

The date below is not a typo... It's not a January picture.
